Resources
Because of the secrecy and shame that surrounds abortion, women and men
suffer in silence, depriving themselves of the comfort and support that are
needed to grieve and heal their loss. Following are resources to educate and
support women, men and teens who have experienced abortion as well as those
who care for them.

Rachel's Vineyard
Founded by Dr. Theresa Burke, a pioneer in post abortion trauma, Rachel's
Vineyard offers resources to renew, rebuild and redeem hearts broken by
abortion. Weekend retreats offer a supportive, confidential and
non-judgmental environment where women and men can express, release and
reconcile painful emotions and begin the process of restoration, renewal and
healing.
Fatherhood Forever
If you are a man who has been struggling with the emotions of a past
abortion experience, Fatherhood Forever Foundation, Inc. was created to
address the issue of abortion and men and to provide inspiration and
restoration to the father involved in an abortion. The organization creates
public awareness to the fact that men are hurt by abortion by providing men
with the resources and tools necessary to heal, and by encouraging and
assisting other organizations to address this issue.
The Guttmacher Institute
This non-profit organization produces a wide range of research and resources
used for public education, policy and program development in matters of
sexual and reproductive health including abortion.

Are all women and men hurt by abortion?
All we can say for certain is that many are severely
impacted by their experience
including:
- Post traumatic stress disorder
- Inability to bond with and love children
- Promiscuity
- Ruined relationships
- Repeat abortions
- Substance abuse
- Self-destructive behaviors
- Eating disorders
- Spiritual alienation
Sadly, people may believe that no one will understand and that God could
never forgive. But recovery and healing is possible!
