For decades, Jane Abbate projected an image: successful at work, happily married, and “together.” Jane, however, had made some serious mistakes in her life—ones she couldn’t face and felt she needed to hide from others.
-
In fact, Jane lived a double life—perfect on the outside, miserable and lonely on the inside. Eventually, Jane’s life fell apart. She divorced, left her career behind and hit rock bottom. Even so, Jane refused to tell her secrets.
-
Finally, Jane found the courage to speak the truth about herself in a safe environment, where she was surprised to discover compassion and concern in place of condemnation. That was the beginning of Jane’s journey out of the past and into a more fulfilling future. Jane learned to face her past, mourn her losses, shift perspectives, and move closer to God.
-
As Jane’s past lost more and more of its destructive power, she realized she was living a process of healing, one she could share with others.
Jane’s background as a certified coach, with extensive experience guiding people in behavior change, makes Jane the ideal person to help others face their “messy” lives and move forward with hope. Now Jane not only shares her inspirational story, she shares a practical process for overcoming personal messes, both big and small. Jane’s life is a prime example of how God can take the messes we make in life and turn them into something wonderful.

In addition to Jane’s training as a certified coach, she is trained as a facilitator for an international Christian healing ministry. Jane lives in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband, Bill, and is an active member of Allison Park Church.
